She gave Entertainment Tonight a "no" when asked if she would ever reconsider a return to "The View. Sherri Shepherd had some company when she walked out of "The View" studio for good. Freshman co-host Jenny McCarthy also left the show that year, although it may not have been of her own accord.

A source told The Wrap that it was the network who decided not to renew McCarthy's contract after she served just one season on the panel. Pregnant on bed rest and tirelessly trying to get on the show, Shepherd made the right call at the right time.

If she could get to New York City in time, she could be on "The View," but final call was really up to her doctor. When Shepherd asked her doctor about flying, the doctor reminded her she was on bed rest.

Right up until Shepherd was supposed to walk out on stage, she was in a wheelchair. The next day, she received a call asking her to get back on a plane to do the show again. They gave Kathy Griffin the Friday, and they gave me Thursday. In her seven years as host of the show, the panel only changed once when Hasselbeck and Behar left although Behar quickly returned to the show.
