Located at Valleyfair, Power Tower is the tallest ride located at the park by 75 feet over Wild Thing. This ride has three towers, two which slowly bring people up only to be dropped at speeds exceeding 50MPH, or one tower which will launched towards the top of the tower.
What is great about this wooden rollercoaster is how fast you feel you are moving. What makes Renegade so unique is the experience of the twisting first drop, which is something you most likely have not experienced. I would suggest trying to be in the front few cars for this ride because you will see nothing below you when making that first drop, and the speed of 52MPH through all the twists and turns will make it even more spectacular.
Considered by many to be the most exhilarating ride at Valleyfair. Steel Venom is a single twist impulse coaster which will reach speeds over 68MPH on more than feet of track. The highest point of the track is feet, and the biggest drop is feet. What makes this ride so unique is the launch points, both forward and backward. You feel like you are being shot out of a cannon on the first launch, and continue to gain speed until reaching the highest speed of 68MPH through the third and fourth launch.
At the top of the fourth launch is when you get the biggest thrill as you make a dead-stop at the top of the track, dangling in the air before being dropped back down for the 5th launch. Steel Venom is a terrific, unique ride you need to check out when coming to Valleyfair. The tallest and fastest ride at Valleyfair, Wild Thing is sure to impress. The top point of the coaster stands at feet and includes a first drop of feet. The first drop is a degree angle and you will reach speeds of up to 74MPH.
In addition, Wild thing has the longest low-gravity section of coaster in the world! When you think thrill rides you typically think coasters. Steel Venom. Rider Safety Information. Steel Venom is an impulse roller coaster using linear induction motors to launch riders both forward and backward.
Riders will experience changes in speed and direction, weightlessness, and rapid movements from side to side. A shoulder harness with a safety belt secures each rider over the head and across the chest.
Due to the nature of the restraint, this ride may not accommodate guests of a larger size. A test seat is located at the ride entrance, which can be used to evaluate proper fit and comfort before waiting in line. Guests must have a minimum of three functioning extremities. Two functioning arms are sufficient instead of three functioning extremities if the guest has a typical center of gravity, and lower extremities are sufficiently strong to maintain proper riding posture under the dynamic conditions of the ride.
Amputations must be at the knee or below. Guests with a cervical collar, neck brace, broken collar bone, full arm cast, braced arm cast, or full leg cast are not permitted to ride. Guests with any prosthesis must consult with Guest Services before waiting in line or riding. Alternate access is available at the ride exit. Riders will have to take several steps, on their own or with the assistance of a companion, and be capable of elevating themselves up into a suspended seat.
Please do not use the ride restraints for support while entering and exiting, as they will shift. This ride utilizes magnetic systems during the ride.
