Umm E-Quake takes out other pokemon or does lots of damage I don't think Crunch is needed. And doesn't Special A meen attacks of the user's type?! Sceptile not Dark. Crunch is needed for a good Sceptile. The main point of Sceptile is to out speed Alakazam, and if you have no Dark moves on it your chances of beating him are very slim. Crunch will also help you if your opponent brings out Shedinja. As for Solarbeam, it is just a bad move in general.
Any move that takes a turn to power up is not worth using because your opponent can see it coming, which would give them a chance to switch out. Last edited: Jun 27, I don't think Sceptile is the best guy to use out there but if u really want. The best moveset is like what rep13 said.
Dragon Claw for those annoying Salamances that grass isnt good against. Leaf Blade cuz well it's his trademark move. Crunch cuz he has high special atk, and can do good damage with it. I'd go HP rock over e-quake, but it's almost impossible to get one so i'd prolly go with e-quake if u can't get a HP rock.
I also agree with rep13 about the solarbeam. Although solarbeam can be one of those exceptions, 2 turn moves r expected and your opponent will have a chance to switch. If they see a sunny day on a grass type then they know solarbeam is comin. Yes I geuss so. But will someone please tell me if SA is user's type attack or if it is not user's type attack and what is HP rock? Isn't rock a type not a number? Also what are chances of me battling Alakazam I meen to set up a pokemon just to beat 1 pokemon not a good schoise unless your battling Steven or a gym leader but that I'm not.
Crunch Leaf Blade Dragon Claw??? Masamune New Member. Solarbeam is useless on anything unless it can learn Flamethrower and Sunny Day aswell. A good Hidden Power is near impossible to get so just go with 'Quake. Oh I get the HP thing now. Micaela Posted August 2, Posted August 2, Hi guys, i wanted some sugestions of a in-game set for sceptile, considering only the legal moves for ep
 More sharing options HakuryuYukio Posted August 2, Well it's kinda difficult to get a good Moveset for sceptile as of now.
You can teach it Giga Drain via Move Tutor in 7th street. You can also teach it dragon pulse via move tutor from Obsidia Ward. Focus Blast is not available as of now. Another thing you can do is go to Apophyll Academy or Agate Circus. Both places have a hidden power checker. Check if your Sceptile has HP Fire. WildRoad Posted August 2, User Info: TimeLord.
Accepted Answer. As I replied in the other question, use neither. If you absolutely must have a Fighting-type move to use against Sidney's Dark-type Pokemon, the only option is Brick Break. However, considering Brick Break is a unique, highly useful TM and it's a subpar move for Sceptile to have, I would suggest that you rather power through Sidney without any super-effective moves, bar utilizing the dual types, e. Question Status What should I teach my Sceptile? Rock Smash or Focus Punch? Answered Who is better sceptile or venasaur???????
